Better Through the Barbell is an organization to build the next generation mentally and physically stronger than they currently are. We do this by trying to fulfill the below 10 fundamental goals:
Provide the opportunity for any youth or teen to increase their physical fitness.
Teach kids through barbell training that they are physically capable of more than they think possible.
Create an atmosphere that understands and supports the idea that heavy is relative to each athlete and that everyone’s strength journey is different.
Develop mental and physical toughness through consistently challenging athletes through physical activity.
Develop an athletic mindset into every lifter no matter their athletic background or perceived athletic ability.
Teach all athletes that results are directly correlated to the effort put into a task.
Provide competitive opportunities so that athletes can learn how to set goals, build plans and execute plans to accomplish their goals.
Develop the skills to be mentally and physically effective in high pressure moments.
Encourage the concept that achieving our ultimate potential is a never ending challenge and is only possible with a relentless pursuit to get better every day.
Teach athletes that an individual's strength is to be used for others not on others.
